US top-tier stock car racing series Nascar has partnered with footwear company Crocs for the 2024 season.

The partnership involves Crocs releasing Nascar-themed footwear and charms for adults and children.

The first collection, launched today (February 2) will form part of a new licensing deal with Nascar Team Properties, a collectivized licensing trust for beneficiary members including Nascar, tracks, and race teams.

Megan Malayter, Nascar managing director of licensing and consumer products, said: “This collaboration gives Nascar fans a fun, functional way to put their passion on display like never before and provides Nascar another important opportunity to meet new consumers and potential fans where they are.”

The 2024 Nascar season begins with the Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum exhibition event on Sunday (February 4), being shown on Fox, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Nascar’s regular season begins with the Daytona 500 on February 18, also shown on Fox, MRN, and SiriusXM Nascar Radio.

Last month, US sports betting giant DraftKings announced a new agreement with Nascar that opened the door for the gambling firm to begin operations in the US state of North Carolina.

Although the deal still needs to be ratified by the state’s regulators and licensing commission, once approved it will mean that DraftKings and Nascar will collaborate in the state to offer sportsbook services to customers.

The state will be the 27th different US stated that DraftKings is authorized to operate in, once the deal is ratified.
