Lighting company Signify has announced a new partnership with motor racing’s Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team.
The tie-up is focused on Mercedes’ sustainability aims with the racing team to utilize Signify lighting to enhance driver wellbeing.
Through the deal, Signify branding will be present on Mercedes driver helmets, race suits, and the livery of its car through the remainder of the 2024 season.
Signify lighting is already utilized by F1 itself on night races at the Singapore and Las Vegas Grands Prix, with this latest deal enhancing its relationship with the wider F1 ecosystem.
Speaking on the new deal, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff stated: “Innovation and performance are at the heart of everything we do. We are also conscious of our wider social responsibilities and therefore embed sustainability in every action. Partnering with Signify is an exciting step that will help us make further progress in both of these areas.”
Beyond Signify and team title partner Petronas, other prominent partners of the Mercedes team include principal partner chemical company Ineos, software company TeamViewer, cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike, and computer hardware manufacturer Qualcomm’s Snapdragon brand.
