The Megogo streaming service has retained rights to European soccer’s UEFA club competitions for the next three-year cycle in Ukraine.

The platform has agreed a new deal to exclusively show the premier UEFA Champions League, second-tier Europa League, and third-tier Conference League between 2024-25 and 2026-27.

Megogo also covered UEFA club competition action in Ukraine during the 2021-24 cycle.

The new agreement also includes the UEFA Youth League and UEFA Super Cup, the annual fixture contested between the Champions League and Europa League winners.

The sale was negotiated by Team Marketing, UEFA’s partner agency for media and commercial rights sales across its club competitions.

Team launched the tender process in Ukraine in March, with a deadline of April 22 set for bids.

Megogo will broadcast the Champions League next season from the fourth and final qualifying round, while its coverage of the Europa League and Conference League will begin from the group stage.

From next season, UEFA's club competitions will all operate under a new format. The Champions League will comprise 203 matches per season across 19 match weeks, as opposed to 17 match weeks and 137 games in total currently.

The Europa League and Conference League will also increase in size next year, with the match total up from 282 to 342.

In terms of recently-unveiled UEFA club competition rights deals for 2024-27, pay-TV broadcaster Nova snapped up rights in the Czech Republic, while Viaplay did so in Sweden, Denmark, and Iceland. bTV and Wowow also extended their deals in Bulgaria and Japan, respectively.

Earlier this month, UEFA opened the tender process for media rights in New Zealand for the 2024-27 cycle.
