Mars Wrigley UK, the British subsidiary of the US confectionary giant, has renewed its partnership with the England men’s, women’s, and para soccer teams.
The renewal, struck with the Football Association (FA) national governing body, will be activated through the Kind and Extra brands in the 2023 and 2024 seasons, respectively. They take the place of the Snickers brand.
The brands join an extensive portfolio of partners to the FA, which also includes the likes of NIKE, EE, Budweiser, Coca-Cola, and Disney, among numerous others.
Mars has been partnered with the FA since 2009, with the last renewal between the two coming in 2018.
Navin Singh, the FA’s commercial director, said: “We’re delighted to continue our partnership with Mars Wrigley with a renewed focus on Kind and Extra. This evolving partnership aligns perfectly with our passion to encourage balanced lifestyles.
“We thank Mars Wrigley for their continued support across our England teams and we look forward to working together over the coming years.”
Peter Morris, Kind UK’s market director, commented: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be a supporter of the FA this year, and to continue our health and wellness journey. As football fans ourselves, we’re proud to be focused on supporting the England Women’s Football team this year.”
Kerry Cavanaugh, business unit director of Mars Wrigley UK, added: “Football provides some of the greatest culture moments in the UK, so we’re very proud to be partnering with the FA to bring Kind and Extra to a nationwide stage.
“It’s a brilliant opportunity to show our customers the range of products we offer that are synonymous with a balanced lifestyle.”
