Italian sportswear brand Macron has struck a long-term deal with Concacaf, soccer’s governing body across North America, Central America, and the Caribbean.

Through a tie-up unveiled today, Macron becomes the sports equipment and apparel partner of Concacaf for the next six and a half years, through 2030. This represents the Italian brand’s first such tie-up with a FIFA regional confederation.

The deal covers all national team and club Concacaf competitions, across the men’s and women’s games.

It has been struck with three Concacaf nations - Mexico, the US, and Canada - building up to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

It also adds to the recent tie-up between Macron and Concacaf around the sportswear firm becoming kit supplier for all Concacaf match officials and referees through 2030.

The competitions set to be covered include the Concacaf Champions Cup, the Gold Cup flagship national teams tournament, and the new Concacaf W Champions Cup for women.

Victor Montagliani, president of Concacaf and a FIFA vice president, has said: “We are very pleased to agree to this confederation-wide partnership with Macron, a company and brand increasingly known for its high quality and its growing and impressive reach in international sports. Our agreement covers all Concacaf national team and club competitions for many years ahead.”

In mid-August, Concacaf unveiled a multi-year strategic partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).

This immediately resulted in the Riyadh Air brand being announced as Concacaf’s official airline partner under a multi-year agreement.

Gianluca Pavanello, chief executive at Macron, added: “Consolidating and extending our presence on the North American market is one of our key objectives, and agreements like that with Concacaf demonstrate that we are moving in the right direction.”

In terms of its activity within the Concacaf region, Macron is also a technical partner of the Canadian Premier League, meanwhile.

Europe is where the brand has the most tie-ups, however, with kit deals in place across the continent’s top domestic leagues.
