VfB Stuttgart, the German soccer club, have unveiled financial services company Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (LBBW) as their new shirt sponsor from the 2025-26 season.

The two parties have agreed a three-year contract through the 2027-28 campaign.

According to Bild, the deal is worth a total of €25 million ($27.8 million).

The agreement will represent an expansion of their existing relationship, as LBBW’s logo already features on the shirts of the Bundesliga side’s youth team under a deal struck last month.

The Stuttgart-based bank will replace the club’s current shirt sponsor, French online gambling firm Winamax.

The betting company partnered with Stuttgart at the beginning of the 2023-24 season, with the deal marking its first German sports sponsorship.

German energy company Hep Global is Stuttgart’s sleeve sponsor, while sportswear brand Jako supplies the club’s kits.

LBBW claims the tie-up with the Bundesliga outfit is the largest sponsorship deal in its history and is seeking to use the partnership to increase nationwide brand awareness and its international presence.

Alexander Wehrle, CEO of VfB Stuttgart, said: “LBBW and VfB share a long and successful history of cooperation.

“We are therefore all the more pleased that, following their return to our partner family at the start of the season, we are now able to announce the next milestone together and that LBBW will be comprehensively committed to VfB Stuttgart as the main and shirt sponsor from summer 2025.”

Stuttgart will be competing in the elite UEFA Champions League club competition this season after a successful Bundesliga campaign last year in which they finished second.
