The New York Islanders franchise of North America’s National Hockey League (NHL) and the team’s UBS Arena home have announced a multi-year partnership with Solo Stove, an outdoor lifestyle brand.

Solo Stove will be the Islanders’ first exclusive jersey patch partner, with Solo Stove’s flame logo set to be on the jerseys of both the New York Islanders and their American Hockey League affiliate the Bridgeport Islanders for all home and away matches, starting this season (2024-25).

As part of the partnership, the plaza outside UBS Arena will be named Solo Stove Plaza, with the company’s products set to be integrated throughout.

To celebrate the partnership, prior to the Islanders’ opening game against the Utah Hockey Club yesterday (October 10), the Islanders and Solo Stove held a pregame celebration at The Park at UBS Arena, the leisure zone near the stadium.

President of global partnerships at Oak View Group, Dan Griffis, has said: “They [Solo Stove] are arguably one of the hottest products in the market with some of the most creative marketing and we are grateful that they saw our vision for the campus and selected UBS Arena and the Islanders to help them achieve their future goals.”

Michael McGoohan, chief growth officer of Solo Brands and president of Solo Stove, added: “Our core consumer aligns very well with the Islanders fan base and we have a tremendous opportunity to grow our business both in New York, and globally. This partnership is another meaningful step forward in our mission to become synonymous with the best outdoor gatherings in the world.”

Prior to this deal, Solo Stove’s products have already been highlighted at the UBS Arena over the last year.

Last month the Islanders also announced a new partnership with US airline JetBlue.

The multi-year deal saw JetBlue become the official domestic airline partner of the team and the 17,255-capacity arena.

JetBlue joined a roster of official partners of the Islanders that includes automobile giant Ford, beer brand Heineken, car brand Hyundai, ticketing platform Ticketmaster, telecommunications giant Verizon, and banking firm UBS, which is the naming sponsor of the UBS Arena.

The 2024 NHL regular season will run through June 2025.
