IMG, the sports marketing agency giant, has enlisted Alamiya Media, the Saudi-based production facilities company, to provide additional facilities and resource services for its coverage of domestic soccer’s Saudi Pro League (SPL) competition and Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) games.
The partnership follows IMG’s recent appointment by the SPL and SAFF to deliver production services for matches across the top-tier Saudi league, Saudi Super Cup, and King’s Cup.
IMG said Alamiya has been selected “due to its proven international production and broadcasting standards” which will support the delivery of coverage until 2030.
The tie-up expands on an existing relationship between the two parties.
James Clement, IMG’s senior vice president of technology and operations, and studios, has said: “As broadcaster demand and excitement around the Saudi Pro League grows, the opportunities for production innovation grow too.
“We’re looking forward to continuing our relationship with Alamiya, who is a proven supplier in the region, and leveraging the company’s local expertise to ensure we’re bringing the league’s stories to life through an even higher production quality.”
Sultan Al Muheisen, Alamiya Media chairman and chief executive, added: “Saudi Pro League is one of the fastest-growing leagues. We are confident that the combination of Alamiya’s knowledge and facilities with IMG’s host broadcasting expertise and capabilities, will unlock the full audiovisual potential of the Saudi Pro League.”
IMG is also responsible for distributing the SPL’s media rights internationally for the 2024-25 season, which is being aired in more than 165 countries on 43 global platforms.
The heavyweight agency also produces content for several other major soccer competitions, including the English Premier League, Major League Soccer for Apple TV, and US network CBS’ UEFA Champions League and Europa League coverage.
Outside of soccer, meanwhile, IMG delivers production for mixed martial arts’ UFC and golf’s DP World Tour, Ryder Cup, and Open Championship.
