Gate.io, the cryptocurrency exchange firm, has announced a partnership with Italian soccer giants Inter Milan.
Starting from the 2024-25 season, Gate.io will become the official sleeve partner for Inter, and will see its logo on the sleeves of the men’s, women’s, and under-20s teams’ playing kits.
The deal will consist of Gate.io branding on the LED boards at Inter’s stadium, a range of exclusive content, joint-marketing activations, co-branded merchandise, and fan experiences.
The brand will make its debut on the Inter jerseys’ sleeves on August 30 when Inter host Atalanta.
Last month, Inter and Italian luxury menswear brand Canali announced a three-year partnership, designating Canali as Inter’s official formal wear partner.
The deal will debut in 2024-25, with the Inter players to wear two different outfits designed by Canali, one for the spring, and one for the winter.
Other Inter commercial partners, meanwhile, include Qatar Airways and Betsson.
Inter won last season's Serie A by an impressive 19 points, with cross-city rivals AC Milan in second place.
Meanwhile, RB Leipzig, of Germany's top-tier Bundesliga, have partnered US cryptocurrency exchange platform Kraken.
The crypto company will be an exclusive sponsor for the 2024-25 season.
The club, which recently completed its first-ever US tour, adds Kraken to its list of US sponsors, which also includes Wayfair, Specialized, EA Sports, and Topps.
The announcement comes as Kraken is set to launch a fully localized offer in Germany via a strategic partnership with DLT Finance.
In February, meanwhile, Leipzig announced a new kit supply deal with sportswear giant Puma.
RB Leipzig won 1-0 against VfL Bochum in the first Bundesliga game of the season.
