L'Equipe, the French free-to-air digital terrestrial channel, will continue to air Formula E races after renewing its rights deal with the all-electric motor racing series.

The multi-season deal, which first began in 2021, will start with the upcoming 2024 season and will see L'Equipe air 11 races and nine qualifying sessions live on its terrestrial channel, while the rest of the races will be shown delayed. However, all races and qualifying sessions will be available on L'Equipe's website and app.

Additionally, L'Équipe will be increasing the number of races being presented as Super Events from last season’s four to seven in 2024.

This deal’s unveiling comes soon after Formula E tied up a media rights deal with China Media Group, as well as a media rights renewal in Brazil with streaming solutions and digital production service LiveSports.

December also saw UK pay-TV heavyweight TNT Sports snap up live Formula E rights, and Bridgestone was unveiled as the sole tire supplier to the series from 2026.

The tenth season of the Formula E World Championship will begin on January 13, 2024, with the Mexico E-Prix and will take place in new venues across Italy, Japan, and China, before ending in London, UK, on July 21.
