Electric motor racing series Formula E has confirmed the calendar for its 10th season which includes the addition of Italy’s Misano World Circuit for the first time.
Misano becomes the third new venue for the 2024 season alongside Tokyo and Shanghai and replaces Rome as the Italian round on the schedule.
The Rome ePrix, which was held at the Circuito Cittadino dell'EUR, featured on the Formula E calendar for five seasons between 2018 and 2023.
The Misano track in the Emilia-Romagna region is a fixture in the MotoGP World Championship, and Formula E will race there on April 13 and 14.
Formula E's 10th season will feature a record 17 races.
Elsewhere, the penultimate race weekend will now be a double-header in Portland, US on June 29 and 30.
Formula E will also be the first motorsport world championship to race in Tokyo, with the race set to take place on roads around the Tokyo Big Sight convention center on the Tokyo Bay waterfront.
Additionally, the series will stage an inaugural race in Shanghai at the Shanghai International Circuit with a double-header on May 25 and 26, with the last race in China being held in 2019.
Jeff Dodds, chief executive of Formula E, added: “Misano will be a great new experience for everyone, while the additional race in Portland signifies our ongoing commitment to the US market alongside the potential for growth in the region.”
Season 10 of the Formula E World Championship begins in Mexico City on January 13, 2024, with other races taking place in Diriyah (Saudi Arabia), Hyderabad (India), São Paulo (Brazil), Monaco, Berlin (Germany), and London (UK).
