The Formula 1 (F1) motor racing series has named Emily Prazer as its new chief commercial officer (CCO).

Prazer has been promoted from her role as CCO of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, succeeding Brandon Snow, who stepped down as F1’s managing director of commercial last year.

Snow took on the newly created role in 2022 and succeeded Sean Bratches who departed as F1’s managing director of commercial operations in 2020. There, he was responsible for overseeing all commercial operations at F1 from sponsorship to licensing.

He was recently named managing director of RedBird Development Group, an arm of the US private equity firm.

Prazer has been elevated to CCO of the global series after the Las Vegas Grand Prix brought in huge commercial revenue in its inaugural race. She will report to F1 chief executive Stefano Domenicali and run commercial operations.

Prazer has more than a decade of experience in the sports and entertainment industry and joined F1 in 2017.

The 2024 F1 season will feature a record 24 races.

The next campaign will be the longest calendar in the sport’s history, beginning in Bahrain on March 2 and finishing more than 10 months later in Abu Dhabi on December 8.
