Startup OTT streaming platform Begin has agreed a four-year broadcast deal with US women’s golf’s LPGA in Pakistan, Sportcal (GlobalData Sport) can exclusively reveal.

The long-term deal gives UAE-based Begin rights to stream, live and exclusively, all events on the LPGA Tour calendar through 2027.

The agreement started with this week’s BMW Ladies Championship that will conclude on Sunday (October 20).

LPGA events will be covered on the Begin.watch platform in Pakistan.

Jonathan Mark, Begin co-founder & CEO, said: “This agreement is a hole-in-one for Begin, solidifying our long-term commitment to golf and cementing our position as a premier destination for premium entertainment and live sports' most esteemed events.

“This new partnership will drive us further, turbocharging exposure, production quality, promotional reach, content creation, and economic investment, setting the stage for a decade-long birdie streak of record growth.”

Brian Carroll, LPGA executive vice president of global media, added: “Partnering with Begin is a great step in the Southwest Asian region. We're eagling the opportunity to bring the LPGA's crème de la crème to Pakistan.”

The LPGA deal enhances Begin’s golf portfolio as it already holds rights to the elite PGA Tour and DP World Tour competitions.

The OTT platform recently acquired rights to broadcast English soccer’s elite tier Premier League for the 2024-25 season, a deal also exclusively announced by Sportcal (GlobalData Sport).

Begin additionally streams professional wrestling promotion All Elite Wrestling.

The service is backed by investment vehicle Z2C Limited, and launched in June 2024, initially securing licensing rights for non-sports entertainment content from the NBCUniversal and Sony Pictures Entertainment media giants.
