EverPass Media, the NFL’s media platform for commercial business game distribution, has agreed a new distribution deal with Amazon Prime Video, the e-commerce giant’s OTT streaming service, centered on the American football league’s weekly Thursday night games.

The move adds Prime Video’s slate of Thursday Night Football (TNF) games to EverPass’ offering, which currently comprises NFL Sunday Ticket, the league’s out-of-market broadcast option.

NFL Sunday Ticket is a sports package that broadcasts all out-of-market Sunday afternoon NFL games not available on local CBS or Fox affiliate stations. EverPass holds the exclusive rights to distribute NFL Sunday Ticket to commercial establishments across the United States, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.

Now, EverPass has added Thursday Night Football to that commercial distribution offering, beginning immediately with the upcoming September 19 clash between the New York Jets and New England Patriots.

Speaking on the deal EverPass Media chief executive Alex Kaplan stated: “With the addition of this package to our portfolio, we're excited to offer our commercial business owners even more choice and control over the sports content that captivates audiences and fuels their success.

“This partnership underscores our commitment to being the go-to provider for premium sports content for businesses, ensuring that our customers have the very best at their fingertips that allows them to innovate the out-of-home viewing experience and drive growth.”

Prime Video is the exclusive broadcaster of Thursday Night Football courtesy of a long-term deal with the NFL that will run through the end of the 2032-33 season.

The deal is worth a reported $1 billion per year, and has seen Amazon attract record streaming viewership since it took over the rights.

This year, meanwhile, EverPass has increased its distribution networks, most recently securing US regional sports-focused TV service Spectrum as a new distributor for its business customers.
