The Vuelta a España, one of cycling’s three iconic “grand tour” races, has announced the extension of its long-running partnership with vehicle rental company Europcar.
Europcar, which remains an official car supplier of the race, will provide over 130 Europcar-branded automobiles for use by staff, doctors, and more, to the 2024 edition of the Vuelta a España, which will run from August 17 through September 8.
A major vehicle for activating the partnership will be the brand’s presence as part of La Vuelta’s advertising caravan, in which it will hand out merchandise, and in the Parque Vuelta entertainment area, where it will participate in fan engagement activities.
Europcar will also retain sponsorship inventory along the Vuelta course across its 21 stages,
The company will be sponsoring the event for the 15th consecutive year.
A number of the vehicles that Europcar will provide to the Vuelta will be all-electric and hybrid cars and vans, with Europcar helping the race to reach its green sustainability goals.
Europcar is one of several prominent longtime sponsors of the Vuelta, alongside mobile service provider Movistar, main sponsor ElPozo, and fellow car provider Skoda, the latter of which renewed as a main sponsor of the Vuelta through 2028 back in February.
