The tie-up will give Band the rights to 17 Europa League games per season.

Action from pan-European club soccer’s second-tier UEFA Europa League will be shown in Brazil by commercial broadcaster Bandeirantes for the next three seasons.

The deal has been concluded on behalf of European soccer’s governing body UEFA by LiveMode, the Brazilian sports marketing agency.

The tie-up, it has been reported, will give Band the rights to 17 Europa League games per season, equating to one match per round (in Brazilian time, they will take place on Thursday afternoons).

The majority of games, however, will be covered for a Brazilian audience by CazeTV, the streaming platform which LiveMode manages on behalf of Casimiro Miguel.

The CazeTV channel on YouTube will be the main site through which Brazilians will be able to view Europa League action.

The first Europa League games will be shown in Brazil on September 26, with the 2024-25 final set for May 21.

Last season, action from the Europa League was covered in the country by heavyweight sports broadcaster ESPN and free-to-air network SBT.

Last year’s Europa League was won by Italy's Atalanta (containing Brazilian player Ederson), with this year's edition set to contain European heavyweights such as England's Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, and Italy's Roma and Lazio.

The top-tier UEFA Champions League will be covered in Brazil for the next three seasons by both TNT Sports and SBT.

Band, meanwhile, in terms of its recent rights acquisitions, showed the NBA basketball finals in June through a sub-licensing deal with rightsholder Amazon Prime Video.
