Matt Starker, chief business officer at the Endeavor Streaming service, has been promoted to a broader leadership role with the media and entertainment giant.

Through this move, Starker will also be responsible for both commercial operations and global sales. He is currently in charge of corporate strategy, as well as Endeavor Streaming’s media advisory and growth services.

He will continue to report to Fred Santarpia, president of Endeavor Streaming.

Starker first joined Endeavor Streaming in October 2020, ascending to chief business officer last March. Before that, he spent time as president of Spring Media during the company’s launch process.

Santarpia said: “Matt’s expertise in designing and executing strategies, built to deliver commercial growth for the world’s leading media companies, is second to none. With this move, Endeavor Streaming will be better placed to identify and unlock growth opportunities for our partners.”

Starker added: “As the sports and wider media industries continue to evolve, I am excited about the opportunity to continue to partner with world-class brands to support their commercial growth and to help make their direct-to-consumer services reach as many fans as possible.”

Endeavor Streaming has delivered direct-to-consumer (DTC) streaming offerings for several major sports properties including WNBA League Pass (basketball), UFC Fight Pass (mixed martial arts), and NWSL+ (soccer).

The company was recently appointed by English Premier League soccer club Newcastle United to launch a DTC site, while in mid-August motorsports platform MAVTV announced the launch of a streaming service with Endeavor Streaming as a partner.
