The Denver Nuggets franchise of the National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced digital marketing platform Ibotta as its new jersey patch sponsor in a multi-year deal.

The Ibotta logo will be present across every edition of the in-game and practice jerseys of the 2022-23 NBA champions for the next three seasons.

Ibotta branding will also be present within the Nuggets’ home arena, the Ball Arena, for the duration of the sponsorship.

Furthermore, Nuggets' social media platforms will also feature Ibotta branding, and the basketball franchise will be present in Ibotta’s marketing exercises and community outreach programs.

Bryan Leach, founder and chief executive of Ibotta, stated: “Having been founded and headquartered here in Denver since 2011, we are deeply committed to our local community and thrilled to have a partner that shares our love for the city.”

Rich Donahue, chief marketing officer at Ibotta, added: “Through our Ibotta Gives program, we’ve made substantial contributions to our local communities for several years, and our partnership with the Nuggets will help us do even more.”

He continued: “With their help, we're aiming to expand our impact in Denver and across all the communities where we live and work - from wonderful initiatives like our annual Free Thanksgiving campaign that helps put food on the table for countless families during the holidays. We couldn’t be more excited to bring this partnership to life."

The patch sponsorship was inaugurated in the NBA’s season-opening fixture yesterday (October 24) when the Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Lakers 119-107.

Ibotta also currently sponsors US Formula 1 racing driver Logan Sargeant, and operates a name and image likeness college athlete partnership.

The Nuggets are the latest in a string of NBA franchises to announce jersey patches for the upcoming season and beyond.

Most recently, Eastern conference side the Washington Wizards agreed to a deal for online financial services firm Robinhood to be its own jersey patch sponsor throughout the 2023-24 season, while the New York Knicks and entertainment venue Sphere have struck a similar deal.
