Cosmote TV, the pay-television broadcaster in Greece, has renewed its rights to show a range of tournaments from the ATP Tour, the men’s top-tier tennis tour, for another three years.
Through a deal unveiled yesterday (August 29), Cosmote Sport channels will broadcast - live and exclusively - the ATP Masters 1000, the ATP 500, 36 ATP 250 tournaments, the ATP Finals, and the under-21 Next Gen ATP Finals.
Cosmote has said that in total, subscribers will be able to watch over 2,000 hours of live tennis every year until 2026.
The network will also keep covering tennis news every week via the Topspin show, “with all the latest news from the sport and exclusive interviews with the stars of the courts.”
Cosmote has been the long-term home of ATP tennis in Greece since 2017, with the last deal between the two parties having come in January 2021 and running through until the end of this year.
The main Greek tennis icon is currently Stefanos Tsitsipas, placed at number seven in the ATP rankings.
This extension has been sealed as the US Open grand slam tennis championships take place - the Warner Bros. Discovery media giant holds Greek rights to the tournament through a Europe-wide deal unveiled in February.
Rival Greek pay-TV network Nova Sports, meanwhile, holds rights to the iconic Wimbledon grass court championships, which took place across the first half of July.
