Italian soccer giants Napoli and global soft drinks conglomerate Coca-Cola have extended and expanded their partnership for the 2024-25 season.
As part of the deal expansion, Coca-Cola will now be Napoli’s global training kit partner, having been a club sponsor since 2022.
This entails the soft drinks giant having its logo on the kit used by the first team and the youth side in training sessions and ahead of all competitive fixtures.
Tommaso Bianchini, SSC Napoli’s chief revenue officer, said: “We are proud to have extended our agreement with Coca-Cola to include our training kit and entire warm-up collection.
“This partnership confirms the global value of our brand and brings together fashion and entertainment through a passion for football. Today marks the start of a unique synergy between a globally loved brand and Napoli, which is aiming to establish a new notion of sporting fashion and entertainment for our fan base.”
Phillipine Mtikitiki, vice president and general manager of the Coca-Cola Company for Italy and Albania, added: “We are thrilled to live this new chapter with SSC Napoli.
“As Coca-Cola, we want to share the magic of football with fans through unique experiences at the stadium and accompanying them when they watch matches at home with a pizza and a Coke.”
Thus far the partnership has resulted in multiple fan activations across Naples and the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, including pre-match shows and DJ sets ahead of each match.
The partnership began in 2022 under an agreement that gave the brand pouring rights at the club’s Diego Armando Maradona stadium and exclusivity in the soft drinks category.
Last month, Coca‑Cola announced an eight-year extension of its long-standing global partnership with the Special Olympics.
As part of the deal, Coca‑Cola will continue to support Special Olympics programs, athletes, and events globally through monetary and in-kind donations, volunteer support, and marketing initiatives.
The week prior Coca-Cola was unveiled as a partner of the currently-underway 2024 edition of South American soccer’s showpiece Copa America national teams competition, in a last-minute tie-up.
Coca-Cola is now a Copa America 2024 global partner, running until the tournament ends on July 14.
