US gaming giant Caesars Entertainment and the US' elite ice hockey competition, the National Hockey League (NHL), have announced a renewal of their regional partnership.
The multi-year partnership extension maintains Caesars as a sports betting and gaming partner of the NHL.
The deal has also been expanded to provide Caesars Digital with access to NHL intellectual property to make and promote NHL-branded iCasino games for its online casino platforms in North America.
The renewed agreement also includes access to VIP experiences for members of Caesars’ customer loyalty program, Caesars Rewards, as well as opportunities for visibility for Caesars Sportsbook and Caesars Rewards on national NHL broadcasts of Stanley Cup Playoff games in select markets.
Additionally, Caesars will have use of NHL team logos and imagery on the Caesars Sportsbook app and access to league alumni and the Stanley Cup® for appearances.
Eric Hession, president of Caesars Digital, said: "With the defending Stanley Cup Champions residing in our home city of Las Vegas, we have a front-row seat to the excitement and passion that the NHL provides.
“This partnership extension with the League continues our efforts to build on that fan passion by bringing unforgettable experiences to all of our valued customers across both sports betting and online casinos.”
Jason Jazayeri, NHL vice president of business development, added: “Since the inception of our partnership with Caesars, together we have focused on innovative ways to engage our passionate fanbase. We look forward to the next chapter of our relationship focused on delivering unparalleled access to our sport for NHL fans.”
Last month the NHL announced the renewal of its partnership with US telecommunications giant Verizon.
Verizon will continue as the league’s exclusive partner in the 5G broadband, wireless services, and mobile edge computing categories, as well as serving as an official technology partner of the league.
Other major NHL sponsors include New Amsterdam Vodka, the title sponsor of the pregame event, Navy Federal Union Credit, which is the title sponsor of the stadium series, and most recently Tourism Prince Edward Island, which has come on board as the league’s newest official destination partner.
