Creative Artists Agency (CAA), the US sports and entertainment agency giant, has appointed nine managing directors and restructured its agency board membership after being acquired last year by Artemis, the investment firm of the French Pinault family.

The new managing directors include several senior figures from the firm’s sports division - Howard Nuchow and Michael Levine, co-heads of CAA Sports, and president Paul Danforth.

Meanwhile, the new agency board of 27 members will be co-chaired by Matt O’Donohoe, president of CAA Sports International.

O’Donohoe was promoted to that role in February 2023.

The managing directors will work alongside CAA co-chairman and chief executive Bryan Lourd, co-chairmen Kevin Huvane and Richard Lovett, and president Jim Burtson on varying strategic business and operational matters.

Artemis completed its acquisition of CAA last September, purchasing the stake previously held by global investment company TPG.

Los Angeles-based CAA, which represents many high-profile actors, directors, and music artists, launched its CAA Sports arm in 2006 and has since branched into representing numerous well-known athletes.

Overall, CAA manages around $18 billion in sports contracts.

The agency’s clients include brands and properties such as Allianz, Constellation Brands, KPMG, MGM Resorts, Paramount+, T-Mobile, motor racing's iconic Formula 1, esports' Riot Games, baseball's MLB, and the US Tennis Agency.
