The British Basketball League has announced a streaming partnership with live sports streaming service Fubo to bring coverage of the league to the United States and Canada.
As part of the deal, Fubo Sports has begun streaming a selection of weekend games, with the full schedule set to be released “very soon”.
Fubo Sports’ inaugural broadcast was on Christmas Eve when the London Lions beat the Sheffield Sharks 83-64.
Additionally, Fubo Sports will also be posting British Basketball League content on their YouTube channel beginning this month.
British Basketball League chief executive Aaron Radin said: “The British Basketball League is excited to bring its high-quality content to Fubo Sports that showcases the skill, passion, and excitement that define British basketball.
“This partnership marks a significant step forward in expanding the global footprint of the League and elevating the profile of British basketball on the international stage.”
The deal adds to the league’s US exposure, with the British Basketball League also announcing a new broadcast deal last month with US regional sports channel the YES Network.
Through the agreement, the network’s YES App will stream two live British Basketball League games per week each Thursday and Friday.
This is also in addition to similar deals with NBC Sports Regional Networks and the New England Sports Network (NESN).
