BeIN Sports France, the French pay-television operator, will continue to show Spanish soccer’s LaLiga in France for at least two more seasons after agreeing an extended deal with the league.

The broadcaster has been home to the top-tier league since 2012, with the new agreement taking the partnership to 14 years in length, through to 2026.

The last deal between the pair covered the 2021-24 cycle.

The renewal was confirmed by Florent Houzot, director of channels, programs, and editorial at BeIN Sports France, with a post on X (formerly Twitter).

LaLiga is one of the most popular foreign leagues in France and BeIN’s renewal comes at a significant time as French superstar Kylian Mbappe’s long-awaited move to Real Madrid was announced yesterday.

Since BeIN signed its last contract with LaLiga, however, several top French players have departed the league such as Ousmane Dembele and Karim Benzema.

However, Antoine Griezmann is still plying his trade in Spain with Atletico Madrid and Mbappe will have several French international teammates at Real Madrid such as Aurélien Tchouaméni, Eduardo Camavinga, and Ferland Mendy, while Jules Kounde is at Barcelona.

Other sports leagues and events shown by BeIN in France include basketball’s NBA, American football’s NFL, ice hockey’s NHL, and tennis’ Wimbledon championships – with the latter recently renewed.
