Spanish soccer giant FC Barcelona has brought in Iluminación Disano as the newest partner to supply the renovated Camp Nou stadium under a long-term deal.

The agreement will see the company, which specializes in the manufacture and design of lighting solutions, become the exclusive lighting supplier to Espai Barça for six seasons.

The tie-up will begin on July 1, 2025, and run until June 30, 2031.

Catalonia-based Iluminación Disano will deploy LED technology and smart control systems into Camp Nou.

Juli Guiu, vice president of the FC Barcelona marketing area, has said: “The alliance with Iluminación Disano is one further step towards the club’s goal of equipping the future Camp Nou with all the latest technological advances.

“Furthermore, its commitment to products that reduce energy consumption contributes to the more sustainable aspect of the project.”

Barcelona last week unveiled Figueras Seating as the new VIP seating supplier to the Espai Barça project.

Other recent partners signed up include software and cloud computing company Hewlett Packard Enterprise, seating specialist EHEIM Mobel, and cybersecurity firm Fortinet.

Espai Barça, the overall (costly) Camp Nou renovation scheme, was unveiled in 2021, with €1.45 billion ($1.6 billion) of funding for the project.

Meanwhile, rival Atletico Madrid has announced a new partnership with consumer electronics brand LG.

The tie-up will see the Korean company develop and install LED technology at the club’s Cívitas Metropolitano stadium.

LG will install a new ellipse-shaped LED solution that will feature on the roof of the stadium.

The club said its design, integrated into the oval and trapezoidal structure of the roof, will create a “360-degree visual effect.”

The brand will also provide audiovisual support inside and outside the stadium with “high-performance, customized, and made-to-measure screens, which will double the current LED surface area of the venue.”

LG claims the tie-up with the LaLiga side will be “the most ambitious we have developed to date in the sports field.”

Atletico adds another major Korean brand to its commercial portfolio as it holds a long-running partnership with automotive manufacturer Hyundai.

The club recently renewed its shirt sleeve sponsorship deal with the brand for the 2024-25 campaign.

Elsewhere, LaLiga as a whole has agreed a new regional partnership with Activa Group, the Africa-based insurance company.

Under the agreement, the firm will become the official pan-African insurance partner of the league.

The two parties will collaborate on initiatives focused on community engagement, financial inclusion, and sports development across the African continent.

This represents LaLiga's second commercial deal in as many weeks after partnering with Uber Eats, the food ordering and delivery mobile app, through the 2026-27 season.
