AntenaPlay, the streaming arm of the Antena broadcaster in Romania, has acquired rights to North American basketball’s NBA and ice hockey’s NHL for the next three seasons.
Both agreements began this past Saturday (26 October) and will run through the 2026-27 season.
AntenaPlay will exclusively broadcast the remainder of the ongoing NBA regular season and marquee events such as the Christmas Day games and All-Star game.
The broadcaster will also show the play-offs and the NBA Finals.
The 2024-25 NBA season began last Tuesday (22 October).
The three-year deal with the NHL, meanwhile, will include regular season matches and the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
AntenaPlay will show two live broadcasts every week, including the 2026 NHL Stadium Series, 12 games in the first and second rounds of the Stanley Cup, all Conference Finals and the Stanley Cup Final.
The broadcaster will also air the 2026 NHL All-Star Game. The 2025 edition has been replaced this season by the new NHL 4 Nations Face-Off national teams tournament.
The 2024-25 NHL season got underway at the start of the month.
The additions of the NBA and NHL bolster AntenaPLAY’s sports portfolio which includes Formula 1, soccer’s Asian Champions League, the Portuguese and Greek leagues, MMA events, boxing, and table tennis.
