The Argentine Football Association (AFA) has entered into a sponsorship deal with FeedConstruct, a sports data provider.
Through the tie-up, FeedConstruct becomes a regional sponsor of the AFA and its respective national teams in Europe.
The firm has said the agreement has the aim of promoting its presence across soccer, “generating new strategic alliances that add value to the industry and consolidate the company’s leadership in Europe and other regions.”
Claudio Tapia, the AFA’s president, has commented: “We are very happy to announce a new sponsorship agreement for the national teams, with an important technology company like FeedConstruct.
“Several years ago, when we began the management of AFA, we dreamed of being a leading institution in the sports industry at a global level. Commercial links with leading companies contribute a lot on that path.”
Narek Harutyunyan, FeedConstruct’s head of rights and content department, added: “This collaboration represents a significant milestone for FeedConstruct, and we are excited to work closely with AFA and support the World Champions [Argentina's men's side won the FIFA World Cup in 2022].”
In late October, the AFA entered into an e-commerce partnership with Fanatics, the US-based online sportswear and equipment retailer.
Through the deal, Fanatics now operates the official AFA online store globally as the governing body looks to reach the growing international fanbase of its national teams.
The store, launching this year, will use Fanatics’ Cloud Commerce Platform and offer fans a significantly expanded range of merchandise and products developed and designed by Fanatics.
The AFA's first commercial deal in Europe, meanwhile, also came in late October, through a tie-up with online gaming software provider Smartsoft.
