SVNS, the elite international rugby sevens tour, has announced its 2024-25 calendar, headlined by the addition of Los Angeles, United States, to its list of host venues.
In August, SVNS, which is sponsored by major bank HSBC, had confirmed the first five events of its seven-event season, and has now rounded the schedule out with the addition of Singapore and Los Angeles as the final two.
The season will begin in Dubai, UAE (November 30-December 1, 2024), before moving on to Cape Town, South Africa (December 7-8), Perth, Australia (January 24-26, 2025), Vancouver, Canada (February 21-13), and Hong Kong (March 28-30).
The season-ending two-day spectacle will be staged in Singapore over April 5-6, before the SVNS World Championship 2025, which will for the first time take place in Los Angeles across May 3-4.
The Los Angeles SVNS World Championships will be hosted at the city’s Dignity Health Sports Park, which will also be the host venue for rugby sevens at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Other notable venues include the 50,000-capacity Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong, for which the SVNS event will be the inaugural event following its construction.
