Mixed martial arts’ Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), and Arena Sport, the pay-television operator owned by Telecom Serbia, have announced a broadcast deal covering Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia in a multi-year agreement.

As part of the deal, Arena Sport will broadcast over 40 live UFC events each year, including the main cards of all numbered events and Fight Nights.

Additionally, Arena Sport will show supplementary UFC content such as preview shows and original programs.

David Shaw, UFC executive vice president and head of international and content, said: “We’re excited to showcase our events on Arena Sport to our growing fanbase in the Balkans, as they have worked hard to build up the sport of MMA across the region.

“Their MMA knowledge, vast array of sports properties, and their diverse selection of free, pay, and digital channels, all make Arena Sport a great partner for us there.”

The UFC has two fighters of Serbian heritage on its roster, light heavyweight Aleksandar Rakic and middleweight Duško Todorović.

Last month, media giant Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) also secured the media rights in Italy to the UFC.
