Concacaf, soccer’s governing body across North America, Central America, and the Caribbean, has struck a multi-year deal covering data and betting streaming rights, with international sports data technology provider Stats Perform.

Through the deal, Stats Perform now holds exclusive rights to collect in-venue data from Concacaf competitions “for provision to the media markets,” as well as exclusive live audio-visual streaming rights for provision to sportsbooks. In the US, distribution to licensed sportsbook partners will be handled by SportsContentCo, the official Stats Perform reseller.

In addition, Stats Perform will provide a range of services, powered by Opta and AI, “to help Concacaf grow audiences and revenues.”

The exclusivity covers top-tier Concacaf competitions such as the Gold Cup, the Nations League, (within select territories), and the Champions Cup.

Concacaf issued a tender seeking a first betting sponsor for its senior men’s and women’s national team and club competitions, in early and mid-January. The deadline for expressions of interest was January 13.

Stats Perform will provide a range of features and innovations to sportsbooks using its streams, including AI-powered instant highlights and statistical overlays.

The data feeds, meanwhile, will be provided by Stats Perform’s Opta and OptaAI teams, alongside editorial services and the Opta Live match analysis tool.

In addition, Concacaf will integrate the Opta Stories, Opta Stream, and Opta Points tools (all automated and powered by AI), to use them to expand its range of inventory that can be sponsored.

Philippe Moggio, general secretary at Concacaf, has said that Stats Perform’s “expertise and powerful tools will support our effort to elevate the game and engage fans, sponsors, and media partners in new and innovative ways.”

In terms of recent Concacaf activity, earlier this week the regional body announced a media rights deal with OneSoccer, the dedicated soccer streaming platform run by Mediapro Canada, (a regional subsidiary of the Spanish sports media rights and production agency).

Steve Xeller, Stats Perform’s chief revenue officer, added: “We are delighted to add Concacaf’s high-quality competitions to our Bet LiveStreams and official data packages, and to support the federation’s audience and revenue growth with our AI and Opta content services during a really exciting period for men’s and women’s soccer in the region.”

March has already seen Stats Perform and the Volleyball World commercial vehicle announce a decade-long deal.
