Sportfive, the international sports marketing firm, has extended its long-running agreement with the German Handball Federation (DHB) until 2030.
Sportfive has been the DHB’s exclusive marketing and media rights partner for its men’s and women’s national teams since 2008, and that relationship has now been renewed for another six years.
The tie-up covers a wide range of sponsorship inventory, including jersey advertising slots and opportunities on LED hoardings, as well as digital campaigns.
The next few years will see Germany stage three major international handball events – the Women’s World Championship next year (jointly with the Netherlands), the Men’s World Championship in 2027, and a third edition alongside France in 2029.
Hendrik Schiphorst, Sportfive Germany’s managing director, has said: "Internationally, the DHB has established itself as one of the most sought-after organizers of the top handball tournaments. We are proud to support the DHB as a partner in such exciting times and to further expand the marketing of the national handball teams."
Mark Schober, chief executive of the DHB, added: “We have a long-standing, trusting and progressive partnership with Sportfive. We have put our contract on a new footing and are both focussing on the further development of handball. Sportfive and the DHB work as well-established partners on an equal footing.”
