LA Galaxy, champions of North America's Major League Soccer, have struck a significant commercial deal with the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC).

Through a tie-up unveiled yesterday, RBC – alongside its Los Angeles subsidiary, City National Bank – will serve as the jersey sleeve partner of the LA-based Galaxy, as well as a founding partner of the team's home stadium, Dignity Health Sports Park.

This deal, brokered by the AEG Global Partnerships California sports and entertainment firm, adds to RBC’s existing commercial relationship with MLS, with that tie-up having last been renewed in February 2023.

In addition, City National Bank will act as the bank and wealth management partner for both the Galaxy and that team’s home venue, in which the RBC logo will have an "expansive brand presence."

The deal has been announced with the 2025 MLS season getting underway later this month – the RBC logo will be prominently featured on the right sleeve of Galaxy match jerseys during all games the team plays during the upcoming campaign.

The banks will also work together with the LA Galaxy Foundation, the club's charitable arm, on both long- and short-term elements of the Californian city's recovery from the fires that engulfed it last month.

The Galaxy begin their 2025 MLS season on February 23, as they take on San Diego at home.

Other team commercial partners include Herbalife, Adidas, Bus Light, and Continental.
