Reebok and the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) have announced a multi-year partnership that makes the sportswear firm an authorized footwear supplier for the league.
The deal will involve the brand and its players creating collaborative content, including Reebok athletes Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky and Lexie Brown of the Los Angeles Sparks.
WNBA chief growth officer Colie Edison said: “As we continue to capitalize on increased brand awareness, our work with Reebok is another step in bringing more fans to the game.”
In 2021, Reebok unveiled a brand strategy to return to the sports scene. Shortly thereafter, the brand named NBA legends Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson to executive leadership roles for its basketball division and signed rising women's basketball star Reese.
The brand also has new partnerships with leagues like the UK’s Super Basketball League and the Australian National Basketball League.
Meanwhile, Franklin Sports, the sports goods manufacturer, has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with the WNBA.
