The Red Bull Racing Formula 1 (F1) motor racing team has renewed and expanded its commercial tie-up with PPDS, the company behind the Philips Professional Displays brand.

Through a new agreement unveiled yesterday (January 21), PPDS transitions from the team’s exclusive digital display supplier to a team partner.

This entails Philips Professional Displays “developed and integrated” across a swathe of Red Bull operations, including sections of the team’s technology campus in Milton Keynes, England.

PPDS has also been used to transform the experience for VIP guests at the Red Bull section of F1’s Paddock Club hospitality area and enhance the global Red Bull Racing marketing offices.

This new element will, meanwhile, involve a range of tailored solutions being placed “across critical departments at the Red Bull Technology Campus.”

For example, the Red Bull Ford Powertrains facility will employ PPDS solutions as the team moves forward in developing its own engines.

Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing’s chief executive and team principal, said: “It’s imperative we choose the right partners to join us on our journey, whether building new engines or providing best-in-class digital displays. With PPDS, we have a partner who shares our philosophy and ambitions, and we are delighted to be extending into a new era with them.”

As one of the top teams in F1, Red Bull Racing boasts a wide range of high-profile sponsors, with other brands involved including Tag Heuer, Honda, and Castore.

However, the partnership with cryptocurrency exchange platform Bybit has not been renewed after the contract between those two parties came to an end following the conclusion of the 2024 campaign.

The Dubai-based cryptocurrency firm, which served as a principal partner of Red Bull, has now been removed from the team's official sponsors list on its online platforms.

For three seasons, Bybit was the second-most prominent brand in Red Bull’s sponsorship portfolio behind title sponsor Oracle, which pays around $100 million annually – the team is officially called Oracle Red Bull Racing.

Driver Max Verstappen won a fourth straight F1 World Championship last season, but Red Bull failed to retain the Constructors' Championship after winning it in 2022 and 2023, this time coming third, behind McLaren and Ferrari.

The 2025 F1 season will begin with the Australian Grand Prix on March 16.

Towards the end of the 2024 season, the F1 outfit announced two new sponsors in online trading broker AvaTrade and video technology firm Neat, with additional partners expected to be added before the 2025 season gets underway.
