Formula 1 (F1) series motor racing team Red Bull Racing has announced the multi-year extension and expansion of its partnership with US telecommunications giant AT&T.

The partnership will see AT&T continue to aid Red Bull in its technical operations, helping to streamline the flow of data from the care to the race team both at F1 races to Red Bull Racing’s Milton Keynes, UK base.

Starting from the 2025 F1 season onward, the deal will also see AT&T branding appear on the livery of the two Red Bull Racing cars, race suits worn by the team’s two drivers (Sergio Perez and 2023 World Champion Max Verstappen), and on apparel worn by the race team.

AT&T branding will also be present around Red Bull’s garage and across its race weekend activities, on sponsor boards, media backdrops, and mobile charging stations.

Speaking on the renewal, Red Bull Racing chief executive and team principal Christian Horner stated: “We consider [AT&T’s] partnership and expertise in connectivity as mission-critical to our operation at the racetrack.

“AT&T’s partnership allows us to transport ever-increasing amounts of data for the comprehensive analyses that lead to more precise decisions in the development of our cars before, during, and after each race.”

AT&T first partnered with Red Bul Racing ahead of the 2015 F1 season at a value estimated by GlobalData Sport to be around $1.5 million per year.

Over subsequent renewals, that value has grown to an estimated $3.13 million, with Red Bull ascending to the top of the grid in that time.

As one of the top teams in F1 since its first World Drivers and Constructors Championship win in 2010, Red Bull Racing boasts a wide range of high-profile sponsors, including title partner Oracle (through which the team is officially called Oracle Red Bull Racing).

Most recently the team agreed a multi-year extension to a partnership with US hotel, restaurant, and casino chain Hard Rock International.

Verstappen currently sits at the top of the 2024 F1 drivers championship standings, with six races of the 24-round season left – the next Grand Prix is set to for October 20, in Austin, US.
