PICKERINGTON, Ohio (Oct. 14, 2004) -- AMA Pro Racing announced today that Chevrolet will not return as title sponsor of the AMA Motocross Championship or the AMA Superbike Championship in 2005. Chevrolet has been title sponsor of both championship series since 2000. The strategy originally was to support Chevy’s truck division then was expanded at the beginning of the 2004 racing season to include Chevrolet’s entire model line-up.

PA Promotions, in full consultation with the ACU, has closed an agreement with Channel 4 to broadcast the 2004 Maxxis British Motocross Championship. Channel 4 will broadcast a 24 minute highlight programme, produced by Kenny Kay at KVS Production, of all rounds of the championship. The opening round from Canada Heights, Kent being is scheduled to be broadcast at 0250hrs on August 12th. The remaining rounds will then follow on in a similar timeslot on a weekly basis.
