In 2006 Dubai had around 40 sports activities and since then there has been a tremendous growth in the number of sport events in Dubai. Today there are more than 400 sport events taking place in Dubai, this growth has placed Dubai as a major sports destination on the global map. This growth has opened a lot of avenues for the local sports industry, however growth also brings a lot of responsibility on the government.
