Powerboating - 13 May 2004
Thursday, 13 May, MILAN (Italy) - The International Offshore Team Association (I.O.T.A.), the officially sanctioned promoter and worldwide commercial rights holder of the UIM Class 1 World Powerboat Championship has confirmed that it has entered into an agreement with the Spanish communications group MEDIApro for 'live' and post production of this year's nine race championship.

The International Offshore Team Association (I.O.T.A.) today announced that it has entered into an agreement with FAMA Holdings, a Saudi Arabian conglomerate led by its Chairman, His Highness Prince Faisal Bin F.A.M.A. Al-Saud, to bring the Superfund Class 1 World Powerboat Championship to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2004.

After some speculation regarding the 2003 Class 1 racing calendar Chris Parsonage has confirmed that he has clinched a three-year deal which will keep the spectacular Class 1 British Powerboat Grand Prix in Plymouth until at least 2005. The new contract was signed with the championship's global promoter the International Offshore Team Association (IOTA).

The UIM F1 Powerboat 200l World Championships begin on February 25, 2001 in the Tebrau Straits of Malaysia at the foot of the Malaysian Peninsula, then continues April 8 to Portimao, Portugal, May 20 in Dunaujvaros, Hungary, June 3 in Riga, Latvia, June 17 in Campione, Italy, July 1 in Caliari, Italy, August 5 In Stralsund, Germany, August 19 in Moscow, Russia, September 9 in Austria, October 19 in Sharjah, UAE, October 26 in Abu Dhabi, UAE and December in Brazil.
