Golf’s PGA Tour has unveiled US carrier Delta Airlines as its official airline partner under a multi-year partnership.

Under the deal, which also covers the PGA Tour Champions senior series, Delta will offer PGA Tour experiences to its members through its SkyMiles Experiences platform, including access to the TPC Network chain of public and private golf courses operated by the PGA Tour.

PGA Tour content will also be added to Delta’s inflight entertainment.

The new deal adds to Delta’s portfolio of golf sponsorships, which includes being a tournament partner for the Masters tournament and sponsor of the women’s LPGA Americas Open.

The airline also has ambassador partnerships with several players across the PGA and LPGA including Patrick Cantlay, Stewart Cink, Tony Finau, Rose Zhang, Nelly Korda, Michelle Wie West, and Rachel Kuehn.

In other sports, Delta is the official airline of women’s basketball’s WNBA and has several team partnerships with men’s basketball’s NBA and Major League Baseball.

Meanwhile, UK pay-TV heavyweight Sky Sports has announced a new partnership with US-based golf equipment and clothing retailer Callaway Golf Company, making it the official sponsor of key events across the broadcaster’s men’s and women’s golfing calendar.

The multi-platform partnership was brokered by Sky Media, the advertising sales house of Sky, and includes linear co-sponsorship of events, digital advertising, sponsorship of the Sky Sports Golf podcast, and collaborative events around key moments in golf.

Callaway’s co-sponsorship will cover several major events including the men’s Masters, PGA Championship, and US Open, as well as the women’s Ladies European Tour and LPGA Tours.

The sponsorship also extends to all major women’s majors, excluding the AIG Women’s Open.

The partnership includes the sponsorship of the broadcaster’s weekly podcast, which will provide fans with tournament insights and exclusive interviews with top players and industry experts.

The deal comes as Sky Sports continues to add sponsors for its content, recently signing German automotive brand Audi as an official sponsor for the linear channel specifically dedicated to motor racing’s iconic Formula 1.
