Perry Ellis International (PEI), the US clothing brand, has been unveiled as a sponsor of the 4 Nations Face-Off, the new international ice hockey tournament organized by the NHL and its players' association.

As an official partner of the new tournament, PEI will provide tailored clothing for USA players before they compete against Canada, Finland, and Sweden.

PEI branding will also be featured on the NHL’s digitally enhanced dasherboards during all nationally televised 4 Nations Face-Off matches shown on ABC, ESPN, and TNT, as well as receiving in-arena branding during matches in Boston.

The brand will also have fan engagement rights at the 4 Nations Face-Off Fan Village in Boston from February 15 to 17.

There will be further partnership activations following the 4 Nations Face-Off in future NHL seasons at league events as part of a separate multi-year partnership between the NHL and PEI.

PEI has also announced that Florida Panthers and USA star Matthew Tkachuk will be promoting its products through its channels as PEI’s off-ice ambassador during the tournament and after when Tkachuk will be featured in content for the brand throughout the current NHL season.

The NHL and NHLPA will host the nine-day competition, featuring NHL stars from Finland, Sweden, Canada, and the US, between February 12 and 20.

The 4 Nations Face-Off will be played at the Bell Center in Montreal (four games) and TD Garden in Boston (three matches, including the championship game).

All matches are played according to NHL rules in an NHL arena.

Each team plays three matches in the first round, where three points are awarded for a win in regular time, two points for a win in overtime or a shootout, one point for a loss in overtime or a shootout, and zero points for a loss in regular time.

The two teams with the most points in the preliminary series advance to the final.
