Interwetten, the German sports betting brand, has renewed and expanded its regional partnership with the New England Patriots, of American football’s NFL, for another two years.
The tie-up, which will run until 2026, will continue to focus on fan engagement initiatives, including live events in Germany, exclusive fan trips to the franchise’s home in Foxborough, and meetings with Patriots legends.
The Patriots are one of 10 NFL teams with rights to market in Germany as part of the league’s global markets program.
The franchise also holds international marketing rights in Austria, Switzerland, and Brazil.
Speaking on the two-year extension, Joe Dorant, senior director of international business of the New England Patriots, said: "The partnership with Interwetten has been instrumental in increasing our reach in Europe and attracting new fans and target groups.
“We share the same goal: to have people in Europe experience American football and inspire them to make it their sport—on the field and off the field. This is at the core of this partnership, and we are happy to continue this joint journey with Interwetten.”
Wolfgang Fabian, founder and owner of Interwetten, added: “Enthusiasm for the NFL in Europe, particularly in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, keeps growing every year.
“We are extremely pleased to continue this unique partnership and to inspire the NFL community with joint activities and promotions.”
The NFL has staged four regular season games in Germany since 2022, with games taking place in Munich (2022 and 2024) and Frankfurt (two games in 2023).
One of those four fixtures featured the Patriots when they faced the Indianapolis Colts at Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt.
The league recently announced it will play a regular season fixture at the Olympiastadion in Berlin later this year.
