
Spanish soccer side CD Leganes has agreed a new front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with SportTV, a heavyweight of sub-Saharan Africa sports broadcasting.
The SportyTV brand will be displayed laterally on the front of Leganes kits through the current 2024-25 LaLiga campaign.
As an official media partner of the club, SportyTV will also collaborate with Leganes on activations to leverage the broadcaster’s considerable audience and expand Leganes’ presence in Africa.
Comcast, the US telecommunications giant, has renewed its long-standing sponsorship of the USA Gymnastics governing body through the LA28 Olympic Games.
Comcast’s Xfinity brand will serve as the title sponsor of the US Gymnastics Championships, and will be the organization’s official internet, mobile, and video provider.
Furthermore, Comcast’s sponsorship will extend to the US’ national gymnastics teams, which it will sponsor through the national championships, world championships, and the LA 2028 Olympics, as presenting partner.
Reigning English Premier League soccer champions Manchester City have expanded their branding reach in Asia courtesy of a new regional partnership in Vietnam with the Wake-Up 247 energy drink brand.
Wake-Up 247 will offer co-branded products in Vietnam featuring Manchester City’s crest, and player imagery and likenesses, with local activations also planned.
The energy drink’s branding will also appear on LED pitch-side hoardings at Manchester City home fixtures.
The upcoming 2025 World Games multi-sport event has added Chinese air carrier Sichuan Airlines as the second brand in its global partnership tier.
Sichuan Airlines will provide discounted flights for World Games participants to the event, which will take place in Chengdu, China, in August.
In terms of branding, a pair of Sichuan Airlines aeroplanes will be decorated with 2025 World Games branding, and will screen promotional content around the event on its in-flight entertainment service.
