Riyadh Air, the nascent Saudi airline, has expanded its sports sponsorship portfolio after being unveiled as a new partner of the LIV Golf League.
The agreement brings together two organizations backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).
Starting this week, with the league‘s season-opening event at the Riyadh Golf Club, the multi-year agreement will see Riyadh Air join LIV Golf as an official partner.
The collaboration covers a range of benefits across the calendar’s 14 events – taking place in nine countries throughout Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America – including on-course branding, hospitality, and TV placement.
Riyadh Air, which is set to begin operating this year, has already partnered with several sports clubs and federations, most notably signing a lucrative stadium naming rights deal with Spanish soccer giants Atletico Madrid, which added to its shirt sponsorship agreement with the club signed in 2023.
The national carrier also recently partnered with North American soccer’s governing body Concacaf and tennis’ WTA Finals in Riyadh.

By GlobalDataThe airline has stated that sports is “one of its key focus areas.”
In January, LIV Golf revealed its 2025 calendar, which includes six new venues for the tour.
Those six include Mexico City, at the Club de Golf Chapultepec (April 25-27), Incheon, (South Korea) between May 2 and 4, and Indianapolis.
The tour’s showpiece finale, the Team Championship, will also take place at a new location for the tour in 2025, at The Cardinal at Saint John’s Resort in Michigan.
Last month also saw chief media officer Will Staeger part ways with the golf property.
Other LIV sponsors, meanwhile, include the likes of JCB, Corpay, Panini, and New Era.
