Hockey’s global FIH governing body has struck a new five-year partnership with Endeavor Streaming, a subsidiary of the titular international entertainment agency giant, to power its global streaming business.

A key part of this deal will see the re-launch of the FIH’s own Watch.Hockey direct-to-consumer OTT streaming service on Endeavor Streaming’s Vesper end-to-end streaming solution.

Watch.Hockey’s revamped platform, available across smart TV's, Apple and Android mobile devices, as well as online, will cover over 600 events from a range of FIH competitions including the FIH Hockey World Cup, the FIH Hockey Pro League, and the two tiers of the FIH Hockey Nations Cup.

In addition, it will also be the home of highlights, archive videos, shoulder content, and ancillary programming around the FIH competitors.

The partnership is geared towards driving digital engagement with the FIH and enhancing the fan experience, with Endeavor Streaming’s consultancy business on hand to aid the FIH in maximizing its digital environment.

Speaking on the partnership, FIH president Tayyab Ikram stated: “Developing and promoting the game is at the very top of the FIH mission. In this regard, the new version of our streaming platform, Watch.Hockey, shall play an even bigger role than ever before in enhancing the visibility of hockey worldwide.
