FanDuel Sports Network, the reincarnation of the Bally Sports group of US regional sports networks (RSNs), has announced two new strategic partnerships with SB Nation, the sports blogging network owned by Vox Media, and Yahoo Sports, an arm of the web services and digital media company.
The partnerships have the aim of accelerating the network’s subscriber growth and expanding awareness of its direct-to-consumer (DTC) offering for the 2025 Major League Baseball (MLB) season.
As part of the SB deal, FanDuel will integrate affiliate links and tune-in messaging within SB Nation’s editorial content, while the Yahoo Sports partnership will focus on Yahoo Fantasy Plus, a subscription service that provides users with fantasy sports data, research, and tools for $35 per year.
The two entities will promote reciprocal extended free trial offers to their respective customer bases as part of the partnership.
Eric Ratchman, president of distribution and business development at Main Street Sports Group, said: “By partnering with well-known sports media brands like SB Nation and Yahoo Sports, these foundational deals represent enhanced ways to engage fans and create more awareness of our product offering.
“This is about continuing to meet fans where they are, on platforms they trust, to ultimately expand awareness for our product offering.”
Last month, FanDuel Sports Network announced that it had made its content available via the Amazon Prime Video streaming service.
The RSN provider unveiled that its local, premium sports content – in the form of 16 regional sports networks – is available through Prime Video as an add-on service, priced at $19.99 monthly.
FanDuel Sports Network (named as such through a deal unveiled last October) is owned and operated by Main Street Sports Group, formerly Diamond Sports Group, which emerged from bankruptcy late last year after a lengthy legal process.
Amid that process, the firm had shed most of its sports rights, including the majority of its Major League Baseball (MLB) local broadcast rights.
The 2025 MLB regular season began on March 18 and will run through September 28.
