Fanatics, the digital sports platform and e-commerce company, has announced the launch of a new collectibles marketplace.

Fanatics Collect has been created to connect buyers and sellers of trading cards and memorabilia through fixed-price listings and auctions.

The marketplace launches with “a comprehensive range of services for collectors.”

The Fanatics Collect Buy Now marketplace will offer a flat seller fee of 6% on all appropriately priced cards priced under $120.

In addition, collectors will be able to buy and sell through weekly and monthly auctions.

Fanatics recently announced a partnership with international auction company Sotheby’s for live and online auctions.

Fanatics Collect claims it will offer “the most secure and technologically advanced vaulting services in the collectibles industry”, and collectors will be able to have raw cards graded and authenticated through partnerships with providers PSA, CGC, Beckett, SGC, and MBA.

With the launch of Fanatics Collect, Fanatics has retired the PWCC brand after acquiring the sports card, memorabilia, and collectible auction house.

All PWCC services – including auction and fixed-price marketplace listings, vaulting, and grading and authentication – will now be provided by Fanatics Collect.

Nick Bell, Fanatics Collect chief executive, said “The launch of Fanatics Collect is the next step in our commitment to creating the best experiences for collectors.

“We want to make it quick, easy, and fun for every collector to buy and sell cards, whether that’s instantly through the Buy Now marketplace or through the excitement of an online auction.”

Fanatics Collect will be part of the Fanatics Collectibles division which was launched by the company in 2021.

Trading card firm Topps is also under the Fanatics Collectibles banner after it was acquired in 2022, with Fanatics Collectibles led by chief executive Mike Mahan.

That division, which is valued at over $10 billion, has long-term deals with several major US sports leagues and their players' associations including Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, and American football’s National Football League.
