Exclusive broadcast rights in Estonia to European men’s national team soccer’s Euro 2028 tournament have been snapped up by Duo Media Networks.
A deal to that effect was unveiled by Baltic group Duo Media yesterday (January 2), covering the national team European Championships that will be held across the UK and Ireland.
All 51 games from the 24-team Euros, which will take place in England, Wales, Scotland, and the Republic of Ireland, between June 9 and July 9, 2028, will be covered by Duo Media live.
The 2024 Euros, held in Germany last June and July, were shown in Estonia by a combination of TV3 and commercial broadcaster ERR. European heavyweight Viaplay had initially snapped up rights to a wide range of UEFA competitions in Estonia (as well as Latvia and Lithuania) for the 2022-28 cycle, but its decision to leave the market early last year (as a result of serious financial issues) then left the path clear for other broadcasters to pick up these rights.
Indeed, Viaplay has now exited the Baltic region altogether (with TV3 having bought the majority of its rights) and is instead choosing to focus on its core markets of Scandinavia and the Netherlands.
UEFA re-opened its Euro 2028 media rights tender in the trio of Baltic states last May (alongside its CAA Eleven partner agency), with the process also covering qualifiers for that tournament, European qualifiers for the FIFA 2026 men’s World Cup, and the UEFA Nations League.

By GlobalDataEstonia’s national team has never qualified for the Euros before, with the main qualifying games for the UK and Ireland edition getting underway in early 2027.
Indeed, the only Baltic country whose men’s team qualified for a Euros was Lativa, in 2004.
Duo Media, meanwhile, also showed action from the Olympic Games in Paris last year, to an Estonian audience.
In terms of other European media rights deals for the 2028 Euros, agreements in France (BeIN Sports) and the Netherlands (public-service broadcaster NOS) were announced in mid-2024.
