Dyn, the German sports streaming platform, has secured the exclusive German broadcast rights for the 2024-25 NCAA US college basketball season through a deal with US sports broadcast giant ESPN.
The package for 68 NCAA fixtures includes games from across the iconic annual ‘March Madness’ men’s national championship, and the Final Four round fixtures of the women’s March Madness edition.
Dyn will showcase two live NCAA men’s basketball games per week through the regular season, 38 in total, with original English commentary – the remaining 30 fixtures will come from March Madness.
These games are produced for TV by ESPN as part of the broadcaster’s own massively lucrative agreement with the NCAA.
Furthermore, Dyn will also showcase shoulder content and ancillary programming surrounding the fixtures through the provision of highlights and the “Nothing but Net” German-language magazine show.
The deal with ESPN means Dyn also retains the rights to broadcast the NCAA national championship finals from other sports covered by ESPN’s deal, including volleyball and hockey, both of which are popular in Germany.
