Polish soccer’s top-flight Ekstraklasa has announced the long-term extension of its match ball partnership with major sporting goods manufacturer Adidas.

The new five-year deal, beginning with the upcoming 2025-26 campaign, will run through the 2029-30 season. Adidas will provide co-branded balls and other matchday accessories to all Ekstraklasa fixtures.

Adidas has been the division’s ball provider since the 2014-15 campaign, meaning that by the end of the current extension, the German brand will have covered the Ekstraklasa for 15 years.

In addition to match balls, Adidas will also provide other co-branded soccer products such as soccer boots and apparel, both sporting and otherwise.

Speaking on the partnership, Ekstraklasa management board president Marcin Animucki commented: “The latest agreement is very beneficial for us, not only due to the highest level of equipment, but also the increased involvement of our technical sponsor in supporting the development of the league in the financial and substantive dimension.”

Furthermore, the Ekstraklasa will support the growth of Adidas’ presence in Poland through the promotion of its products, including on TV Extraklasa broadcasts.

Animucki continued: “Ekstraklasa is an attractive and promising partner – we are climbing the UEFA ranking, the sporting attractiveness of the games is growing, the attendance in the stands and the broadly understood popularity of the games are growing. The new agreement with adidas takes into account all these aspects, which means greater benefits for the clubs and our league, and for Adidas, new opportunities to strengthen the brand in Poland.”

Most recently, Adidas agreed a deal to return as the official match ball provider of Germany's elite Bundesliga from the 2026-27 campaign onwards.

Adidas is also the official ball supplier of European soccer governing body UEFA’s Champions League competition in a deal that runs through the end of the 2026-27 campaign.
