The San Francisco 49ers franchise of American football’s NFL has announced a new multi-year partnership with locally-based technology firm NetApp.
NetApp, a data infrastructure company, joins the 49ers’ highest tier of corporate partnerships, the Founding Level, and as such will collaborate to enhance the team’s technological and business operations at its Levi’s Stadium home.
Silo-free data infrastructure solutions provided by NetApp will be utilized across the 68,500-seater stadium, improving wait times at concession stands and bathrooms, enhancing mobile ticket functionality, and overall bettering the fan experience.
In terms of sponsorship inventory, NetApp becomes the official presenting sponsor of the 49ers’ activities at the 2025 NFL Draft, as well as the presenting partner of the Levi’s Stadium Owners Club hospitality suite.
Additionally, NetApp will also become the presenting partner of the 49ers’ Horizon Summit data and analytics conference, which will once again be hosted at Levi’s Stadium in June 2025.
Speaking on the partnership 49ers executive vice president and head of technology Costa Kladianos stated: “When Levi’s Stadium opened in 2014, it was one of the most technologically advanced stadiums in the country.

Not only will Levi’s Stadium continue to host the 49ers, but over the course of the NetApp partnership it will also host six games at soccer’s 2026 FIFA World Cup, five group stage games one knockout round of 32 fixture.
Levi Strauss & Co, the US clothing company, has been the title partner of the stadium since its 2014 opening in a deal that was extended in January 2024 through to 2043.
That extension is worth a combined $170 million.
